What is Group Training?

Fit 1 Fitness programs specialize in Group Fitness and Community Boot Camps. Statistics show that training in a group with those closest to you, is the most effective way for one to maintain a lasting healthy lifestyle. Whether it is small groups or boot camps, group training is more cost effective than working with a personal trainer one-on-one. Group fitness also adds that extra accountability needed for support and motivation, and makes exercising fun, as well as challenging.

Since research shows that group fitness puts you in an optimum position to accomplish your goals, we have designed our group programs with this philosophy in mind. We encourage you to choose people that you “do life with”, to accompany you on this life-changing journey.

With other fitness programs, you workout with strangers and then leave and go your separate ways. Our classes however build on the relationship of family, friends, co-works, or whom ever you choose to be your “supporting cast”.

Working out in an environment that fosters close personal connections, enable you to effectively support each other in becoming more healthy individuals.

Although you train in a group, our program is custom designed to suite each group members personal needs and goals. Our fitness professionals treat each group member, as an individual with their own unique body and metabolic type. We also give group members a wealth of educational information and goal setting tools to maintain their progress in continued health and wellness thus making all of you part of our FIT 1 NATION and FIT 1 FOR LIFE!

The Benefits of Group Training

It FUN: Fitness in a group with those you know passes the time. Forget watching the clock! The pace of group fitness classes makes the time fun and the energy level of your Trainer Coach makes you forget you’re working hard (okay, sometimes!).

Saving Money: Personal training, which we also like, is roughly three times the cost of group fitness training. You and your group share the cost of a trainer coming to you. One of the biggest cost benefits you gain with a fitness group training, is you save money on health care, as people who workout are far less likely to get sick and also recover from illness and injury quicker than non-exercisers.

Make it Social: Group fitness is a great way to bring like-minded and like-motivated individuals together. You’ll find you share common goals and interest which can be a great motivator to work hard  and create accountability for coming back week after week.

Motivation!: Having someone telling you to work harder and encouraging you to take your fitness to the next level will get you there.  Your fitness Coach sets the tone, while having others in you group offers another level of motivation through a tiny bit of competition and camaraderie.

Challenge: The motivation ties into the benefit of being challenged to work harder. You want to keep pace, meaning you will be challenged to work harder. Studies have proven that working out with a group results in a bigger calorie burn.
